Hundreds of people successfully finished the 13-mile course of the Northampton Half Marathon yesterday.
The event began outside the Guildhall, with competitors cheered on a circuit of the town centre and the Racecourse before heading out of Northampton in a south-easterly direction
They followed the River Nene to the white water centre and then onto Brackmills and, using country lanes, out to Great Houghton.
Runners eventually finished at Delapre Abbey.
Elliot Hind, aged 28, led them home, finishing in one hour 11 minutes, with the final entrant crossing the line at three hours and five minutes.
In total, there were 651 finishers, and 13 who did not make it to Delapre Abbey.
