Fire crews tackle van blaze at Northampton home

Firefighters tackled a blaze involving a van parked at a house in Northampton overnight.

The fire happened at about 10.40pm on Friday, May 15, a spokesperson for Northamptonshire Fire and Rescue Service said.

"Mounts & Mereway crews dealt with a fire involving a transit van, garage canopy and quantity of hedgerow involved in fire. Three hose reel jets, a thermal image camera and triple extension ladder used. Newton Road, Northampton," the spokesperson added.
