Parker E-ACT Academy in Daventry celebrates A-level success

Today's A-level grades at Daventry's Parker E-ACT Academy were a cause to be celebrated as the students beat last year's results.

After hauling an impressive set of A-level results, students from The Parker Academy can start to plan for life at university and in employment.

Results were up on last year in every respect, with a Sixth Form that was twice as big in terms of student numbers.

“Five students achieved the very highest grade of A* in physics, English literature, psychology and extended project.

“The highest performing students were Jake Holmes who achieved A*AA and Rhiannon Schut who also achieved A*AA, closely followed by Megan Owen who got A*AB, and Paige Beecham AAB and Jack Bond AAC.

“The results were so impressive that five students are entitled to upgrade their university place because their results are so far beyond the entry requirements.

“Rhiannon shocked staff at the academy earlier in the year by turning down the chance to study at Cambridge University in favour of a course at another Russell Group University!”

At the school the highest performing subjects were English language, geography, history, media studies, PE and product design.

Mr Mackereth added: “Students at DSLV achieved equally impressively which bodes extremely well for the post-16 collaboration between the two Daventry schools which springs into action on September 1.”
