A craft beer business that is run from a residential garage is continuing to grow.
The Beer Garage, based in Wootton Field sells a variety of bottled and canned craft beer from the UK and further afield online, offering a home delivery service.
Laura Butler, the owner said: “We want to offer something different to the people of Northampton.
“Some of the supermarkets have started to offer craft beer but we are keen to support local breweries and also micro-breweries across the UK by bringing their beer into the homes of Northamptonians.
“We are keen to share our love of craft beer with everyone and the local business community in Northampton have been amazing in supporting our new venture.’
The Beer Garage has started to tour many of the local food and drink events across Northamptonshire and it is expected at the University of Northampton’s Food and Drink Festival on Friday followed by the Northampton Town Festival on Saturday.
It hopes to run beer tasting events in the near future, matching local produce with beer.
The business attracted controversy in April when Mrs Butler came up against opposition from neighbours about her business, which led to a formal licensing hearing.
However, councillors backed her business and granted her a licence.
