Members of Northamptonshire Chamber of Commerce and its sister organisation in Milton Keynes joined together for a charity golf event recently.
The fund-raising competition featured 14 chamber members taking part in the event at Overstone Park Hotel Golf and Leisure Resort, with money raised going towards the Chambers’ two chosen charities: Northampton Samaritans and MK Gallery.
Northamptonshire Chamber Chief Executive Paul Griffiths, said: “This was a really great opportunity where members were able to come together to raise money for of their chosen Charities.
“The Chamber charity golf event was a huge success with many compliments on how good the day was. I’d like to thank Overstone Park also for looking after us so well.”
Jon Thorpe, managing director of acs Office Solutions, who won the first prize, added: “The day went very well and Overstone looked after us superbly.”
The results were: 1st – acs Office Solutions (Jon Thorpe/Nigel Hanna); 2nd Cave & Sons (Andy Cockerill/John Naylor); 3rd Alliance Recruitment (Marcus Constantinedes /Glen Brookes). The longest drive went to Kevin Cope (Alltube Engineering), while the Nearest the Pin honour went to Paul Thurland (DBfB Communications).
