A secondary school in the county has been forced to close today due to the predicted heat and a lack of water.
Staff at Guilsborough School took the decision ahead of what is predicted to be the hottest day of the year so far.
Anglian Water say a water main burst in the village this morning, cutting supplies or reducing water pressure to some addresses.
It says it expects supplies to return to normal this morning, but customers may find their tap water cloudy or discoloured. If they do they are advised to run it for a few minutes until it clears.
Guilsborough Primary School and its preschool are open today.
