Northamptonshire Police is taking part in the new national graduate fast track recruitment programme with the College of Policing.
The scheme provides an accelerated three-year training and development programme to enable the most talented recruits to advance to the rank of inspector within three years.
In 2014, Northamptonshire Police, in conjunction with the College of Policing, is offering one place on the fast track programme.
The successful candidate will be a graduate, special constable or member of police staff, who is looking for a new and rewarding career in the police service.
Deputy Chief Constable Martin Jelley said: “The new fast track scheme offers an exciting and innovative training and development programme and is a fantastic career opportunity for the right candidate.
“This year, we are looking for just one exceptional candidate who has the ambition, determination, resilience and vision to achieve accelerated promotion into the senior ranks of the police service within Northamptonshire Police.”
The closing date for applications in Northamptonshire is Sunday May 18 and the successful candidate must be available to start in September 2014.
Nationally, the graduate fast track programme is seeking 82 people from a range of backgrounds, who can bring a new perspective and a variety of skills from business, technology and other areas that will benefit policing.
The scheme will give talented recruits who are able to demonstrate they have the skills and knowledge the chance to move rapidly through the ranks, from constable to inspector, within three years.
