A special beer has gone on sale for Christmas in support of a Kettering hospice.

The Kettering-based Potbelly Brewery has produced a beer specifically for the festive period and it will be sold to raise money for Cransley Hospice in the town.

A spokesman for Cransley Hospice said: “We are delighted to announce that the Potbelly Brewery has bottled a 4.5 per cent beer specifically for Christmas in support of Cransley Hospice, retailing at £2.50 a bottle.

“Gift packs are available and would make a most unusual gift.”

Cransley Hospice provides hospice and palliative care services for people in the north of the county.

Fundraising is very important for its work, and the hospice is holding its fifth Santa Saunter this weekend.

The event, supported by Kettering Huxlow Rotary, is taking place at Wicksteed Park on Sunday, December 6, with registration starting at 10.30am and the walk starting at 11am.

Entry is £6 for adults, £4 for children and £18 for two adults and two children.

Car parking is £2 per car.
