Northampton Town boss given handmade shoes fit for a championship winning manager

Fresh from being crowned champions of League Two, Cobblers boss Chris Wilder received his new bespoke shoes courtesy of Barker this week.

Mr Wilder was welcomed by the Barker team and introduced to fans from the factory before signing shirts and memorabilia.

A spokesman for Barker said: “Michael James, from Springline Northampton which produced the bespoke lasts on which Chris’ shoes were made, presented the shoes...and they were a perfect fit.

“Chris was very interested in looking at our collections and heard about the shoe making process whilst having a quick tour of the factory in Earls Barton.

“Chris took the time to speak to many of our Cobblers supporters about the teams promotion and the remarkable season the club has had so far and he was also presented with a ‘claret’ hand polished last, congratulating the Cobblers on their League two champion status,” he added.
