Northampton Town is aiming to help 250 girls play football this week in support of the campaign, and began the week with five open sessions for girls aged five to 12 years old at Northampton High School in Hardingstone on Monday, sessions that were attended by 89 players.

The club will be visiting a number of local schools during the rest of the week to encourage female participation in football.
