Northampton school launched investigation after year six pupil brought pen-knife into class
A year six pupil at Boothville Primary School, in Booth Lane, was discovered with the bladed weapon in class on Tuesday, March 21, and parents were informed the following day.
Head teacher Becca Payne, said: "It was an isolated incident, which has been dealt with and the relevant authorities informed.

Hide Ad"After a thorough investigation, parents were informed the following morning. Safeguarding and our pupils’ safety is always our primary concern."
One parent who contacted the Chronicle and Echo said he found the incident "extremely concerning".
He said: "A kid of any age shouldn't be carrying a knife, whether for any intention for her own safety, it's just wrong."
