Northampton retirement apartments officially opened in Kingsthorpe

The First Citizen of Northampton joined local retirees for the grand opening of the McCarthy and Stone's new kingsthorpe development, Wardington Court.

Mayor Cllr Christopher Malpas and Mayoress Lynne Malpas were on hand to help mark the official opening of the development in Welford Road, while guests took advantage of the first opportunity to take a tour of the fully-furnished show apartments and toast the new development with a glass of fizz.

Mayor Christopher Malpas said: “It was a pleasure to mark the official opening at Wardington Court and with so many from the local community.

“Living independently and securely is incredibly important at any age, and I’m delighted that developments like this one in Northampton will provide residents with the opportunity to make the most of their retirement years.”
