Pupils from a Northampton primary school have been making their mark in the arts world in a pioneering project at Royal & Derngate.
Royal & Derngate hosted the Spring Lane Primary School Year 5 pupils during Marking Arts Award Week as they worked towards their Discover Arts Award.
Arts Award is a range of nationally recognised qualifications that support anyone up to 25 to grow as artists and arts leaders
The Discover in a Day project, funded by The Mighty Creatives and Arts Award, follows-up the earlier success of 53 children from Cedar Road Primary School who gained their Discover Arts Awards, after working with Royal & Derngate’s Creative Learning team as part of their Shakespeare 400 project.
Royal & Derngate Creative Learning Director, Trudy Bell, said: “Arts Award is a truly inspiring scheme, helping young people to develop creativity skills in art.”
