An ITV film crew paid a visit to The Rock n’ Roll Tea Dance at a Northampton pub to record a feature for popular daytime TV show Lorraine.

The feature, to be screened at a later date, is part of an ongoing series on the show called ‘Change One Thing’, which follows eight women across the course of the year as they change their lives for the better.

Started in 2012, The Rock n’ Roll Tea Dance is now supported by a mix of ages and has become an important weekly get-together for a cross section of the community.

Featuring a 10-piece rock n’ roll band, it plays music from the Forties, Fifties and Sixties each week.

Retired school teacher, Brian Harding of Accrington Stanley fame, has gathered together a talented collection of local musicians including Lee Jackson from ‘The Nice’ and Jeff Hutchings from ‘The Homelanders’ who have volunteered their time.

Admission is free to this weekly event which is held every Thursday between 1pm and 4pm.
