The Trust said the purchase will enhance its offering of activities for youngsters and is a ‘strong strategic fit with a like-minded goal of providing excellent customer focussed service through continuous improvement’.

The Trilogy Junior Active programme run by the Trust already includes swimming, trampolining, badminton or gymnastics lessons along with cinema, off peak racket sports, swimming, roller skating, after school Buzz Clubzz, holiday activities and under 5’s activities.

The Trust’s managing director Ian Redfern, said the addition of the Berzerk brand will enable the Trust to expand its offering to the children of Northampton by providing an additional avenue encouraging them to be active.

He said: “We are delighted to welcome Berzerk on board to complement our existing facilities at Cripps, Danes Camp, Duston, Mounts Baths and Lings Forum leisure centres.

“In order to achieve our mission of inspiring active lifestyles it is important we provide access to affordable activities for young people in Northampton.

“Berzerk not only meets that criteria but also fits with our objective of developing and expanding the Trust and its activities. We will look to improve the facilities over the coming months and have exciting plans which include substantial capital investment.”
