Faye Clark, who went to Abbeyfield School in Northampton, has become the head female counsellor at Wisconsin Badger Camp, which provides outdoor recreation for young people with developmental disabilities.

Miss Clark, who is currently studying physical education at university, has been working at the camp this summer. She said: “I have grown up around special needs. My mum works in an integrated classroom and that made me more interested in this field.

“My favorite part about camp is working with everyone - it is so rewarding. I just love it all really.

“I have realised I have a lot more patience than before and I would like to think of myself as quite selfless.”
