Northampton Town Football Club’s much-loved mascot, Clarence the Dragon, has been sponsored by Northampton-based business Bluefish Office Supplies.
Bluefish is one of the UK’s leading office product companies. They are an independently owned and managed business who were established in 2000 and have an annual turnover approaching £20 million. They are centrally located in Northampton and they carry over £1 million of stock, covering 3,500 products for next day delivery, using their own Bluefish delivery fleet.
“Clarence is a hugely popular part of the club and the wider community of Northampton and beyond,” said commercial and marketing manager, Caroline Lucy.
“In fact, for many young supporters, Clarence is the most recognisable aspect of the club. We’ve worked hard on raising his profile around the area and the demand for him to appear out and out has increased significantly.”
Mark Heath, managing director of Bluefish, added: “We’ve been impressed by the developments on and off the pitch at Northampton Town Football Club and wanted to be involved with the club and extend our commercial opportunities. Clarence is a fun and a great community figure, so an ideal partnership for us to get behind.”
Caroline Lucy said: “Bluefish are another exciting new partner for Northampton Town and we are delighted to welcome them on board. We are really looking forward to working with Mark and his team.”
