Caped crusaders have taken their fight against evil onto the road as they took part in an international car rally.
Drivers from Keyline, suppliers of drainage solutions and heavy building materials, embraced their inner superhero and villain as they headed from Northampton to St Tropez to raise vital funds for Prostate Cancer UK.
Employees from the company, whose headquarters are based at Moulton Park, dressed up as characters such as Gru and the Minions, Super Pig from The Simpsons Movie and Batman & Robin. Other teams included The Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles and Catwoman.
This was the seventh year in a row that Keyline organised the event and those taking part raised the £100,000.
A total of twenty-four teams, made up of Keyline’s staff, along with its suppliers and customers, gathered at the starting line in Northampton, taking 48 hours to travel over 1,000 miles to the Riviera resort of St Tropez.
Keyline, the UK’s leading specialist supplier of civils and drainage solutions and heavy building materials, has been a partner of Prostate Cancer UK since in 2010, initially pledging to raise £25,000 in that one year alone.
However, through the efforts of staff and customers, together with the support from the team at Prostate Cancer UK, the partnership has now helped raise more than £1.2 million.
Kieran Griffin, managing director of Keyline, swapped the high seas for the road as he dressed up as Admiral Horatio Nelson.
He said: “This is the seventh annual Keyline rally and each year we receive fantastic support from both our employees and valued customers, as well as the outstanding team at Prostate Cancer UK.
“Since launching the partnership, we have raised more than £1.2 million for the charity, which contributes to the fantastic work undertaken to help fight this terrible disease.”
