PUBS across Northamptonshire are being urged to enter the Northamptonshire Food and Drink Awards to help celebrate Community Pubs Month.
The food and drink awards has a Community Pub category, sponsored by Pidy and supported by the Chronicle & Echo.
Nominations for the awards end on May 19, and this month is National Community Pubs Month.
Spokeswoman for the awards, Anna Murby, said the Community Pub category was open to any pub in the county.
“We would encourage people to download an entry form from our website – www.northamptonshire foodanddrink.co.uk – or call the awards office on 01933 664437.
“Once we have received a nomination from a member of the public, we then contact the pub and invite them to enter for free.”
Last year’s winner was The George and Dragon, at Chacombe. Landlord Chris Peverell said: “The pub did really well following our win last October, not least because the success gave us some fantastic coverage and, through November, we were roughly 20 per cent up on the same period the previous year.
“We don’t think that is a coincidence.”
