Moulton College has signed a new three-year partnership agreement with Northampton Town Football Club, which will include the sponsorship of one of the stands at Sixfields.
As part of the deal, the South Stand will be renamed the Moulton College Sponsored Stand and the two organisatins will work together on infrastructure and training facilities.
Moulton College will continue to host all of the clubs teams from under 9s through to the first team squad for both girls and boys teams.
The Principal of the College, Stephen Davies and the Chairman of the football club, Kelvin Thomas have agreed to enter into a partnership arrangement that offers both organisations the ability to further enhance the opportunities for Moulton students and the football club’s players.
Additional drainage will be installed into the sport pitches as well as an investment in the college’s existing third generation artificial pitch.
The 3G pitch was the first to be installed in the county and is now ready for a new playing surface to be installed. Works are planned to take place during August in time for the start of the students return to college in September.
Principal Stephen Davies says “Our new partnership with NTFC is great news for the college, the club and the local community. We are proud that the club has recognised that not only do we offer superb pitch facilities but also the highest quality sports therapy facilities within our dedicated Sports Therapy and Injury Rehabilitation centre. We very much look forward to welcoming NTFC back to Moulton for the start of the next season.”
Assistant Director of Student Services, Andrew Bailey, who has worked closely with NTFC in developing the sponsorship of the Moulton College Stand, said: “This is an excellent opportunity for the College to highlight its offer more widely to the people of Northampton. Moulton College is one of the county’s hidden gems and has a lot to offer the community.”
