The Miss Selfridge store in Northampton’s Grosvenor Centre will close to customers at the end of this week.
The store, which is part of the Arcadia group, is the latest retail outlet to close in the ground floor of the shopping centre.
In recent months, House of Fraser and Republic have closed down and Internacionale could be shutting down soon as the chain has gone into administration.
Next and Primark are expected to move into the vacant House of Fraser site later this year.
Russell Hall, Grosvenor Centre manager said: “In order to make way for popular retailers Primark and Next, and as part of the Grosvenor Centre’s extensive multi-million pound refurbishment programme, we can confirm that Miss Selfridge will be vacating its ground floor unit on the April 12.
“This store was occupied on a short term lease arrangement and, whilst Miss Selfridge has been offered alternative accommodation, we understand that they are not looking for a long term position here.”
