Man taken to hospital after stabbing in Northampton

A man is in hospital after he was stabbed in a Northampton street.

Police were called to Palmerston Road, near The Fiddlers pub in Wellingborough Road, at 6pm last night (Tuesday) after a man suffered stab wounds.

A Northamptonshire Police spokesman said the man had been taken to hospital and was in a “stable, non-life-threatening condition”.

The spokesman said the only description of the offender was that he was a “black” man.

The area was cordoned off last night to allow forensic officers to investigate the scene.
