Man taken to hospital after attack in Gold Street, Northampton

A man was left needing hospital treatment after being assaulted in Northampton in the early hours of the morning.

Northamptonshire Police is appealing for information after two men were assaulted in Gold Street, Northampton, between 3.45am and 4.30am Sunday, February 5.

The incident took place at the bottom end of the street, away from the centre of town, sometime between 3.45am and 4.30am, and involved a group of four offenders.

The four attackers were all men. One was white, with a dark complexion, about 6ft 2 inches and of muscular build. He was about 35 and had dark coloured hair, a police spokeswoman added.

There is no further description for the remaining three offenders.

Officers would like to speak to anyone who may have witnessed this incident or who may have any information regarding it. One of the victims was taken to hospital for treatment following the incident.
