Man stole chocolates from BP garage in Northampton

Police are hunting for a thief who stole chocolates from the BP service station in Abington Avenue, Northampton.

The incident happened at about 9.45pm on Saturday, 30 April, when a man was seen taking boxes of chocolates off the shelf, putting them in a bag and leaving the shop without paying for the items.

The man is described as white, about 5ft 11in with a slim build. He was wearing a grey hooded top, a navy blue jacket, blue jeans and blue trainers and was carrying a grey bag. He was balding, had a light brown beard and spoke with an Eastern European accent.

Witnesses, or anyone with information, are asked to contact Northamptonshire Police on 101. Alternatively, they can call the independent charity Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
