Man held in chokehold while accomplice stole wallet in Northampton robbery

A man was robbed shortly after withdrawing money from a Northampton cash point.

The victim, who was attacked between 1am and 1.30am on March 26, had visited Lloyds Bank in Gold Street and was heading home along Spencer Bridge Road, across St Andrew's Road, near the Super Sausage cafe.

Close to the railway bridge, he was approached by a man and woman who demanded money.

The man then held the victim in a chokehold while his accomplice stole his wallet from his jacket pocket.

The two offenders then walked off towards Spencer Bridge Road.

The woman was white, aged about 25 with a stocky build. She was 5ft 7in - 5ft 9in with long, dark blond hair and she was wearing a grey tracksuit and light-coloured trainers.

The man was black, aged about 25, with a slim build. He was 6ft 2in to 6ft 4in with short black hair and he was wearing a dark baseball cap, a dark collarless jacket, dark slim fit trousers and trainers.
