A man trying to protect himself during an attack in Northampton town centre has suffered two broken fingers.

The man was attacked in Angel Street by two men close to the fire exit at the back of NBs bar.

One of the offenders is described as white, about 30, 6ft 3in with a stocky build and short-brown hair, stubble and a red complexion, wearing a black T-shirt.

The other was black, about 45, 5ft 3in with a large build, short grey hair, wearing a long-sleeved top and blue jeans.

The attack happened on Saturday May 16 at 2.30am. The information has only just been released to the media.
