Man dragged from car and punched by robbers who stole £2,000 in cash

A driver was dragged from his car and then robbed by a gang in Northampton.

The robbery happened in Derby Road, off Kettering Road close to the Racecourse some time between 2.20pm and 2.30pm last Tuesday, November 22.

Four men stepped in to the road in front of the victim’s car, before dragging him out of the vehicle then punching him in the face.

They then stole £2,000 from his jacket before making off – three on foot and one in a vehicle.

All four suspects are believed to be of Afghan origin. The first was aged 40 to 45, 5ft 6in, with a medium build and light short brown hair. He was clean shaven and wore a beige jacket.

A second man was aged about 25, 5ft 9in with a muscular build. He had dark stubble and wore a black jacket with a black hat.

The third suspect was aged 25, about 5ft 8in, with a medium build. He wore a dark top with some kind of marking on the left of his chest.

The final suspect was also aged about 25 and was 5ft 9in to 5ft 10in with a slim build. He had dark hair and wore a dark jacket

Two men have been arrested in connection with this incident and are currently on police bail.
