Man dies in crash on A6 near Rothwell

Emergency services were called following the crash in the early hours of today (Friday).

A police spokesman said: “The A6 at Rothwell has now re-opened following a serious road incident this morning in which a man sadly died.

“The incident, which involved a recovery truck, happened at about 2am.

“Emergency services attended and the road was closed for several hours from Junction 3 of the A14 to the roundabout junction with Brayrooke Road.”

The road was re-opened at 11.30am.
