A man was assaulted and robbed of a ‘small amount of cash’ by three other men as he walked along an alleyway in Northampton.

The 44-year-old victim was walking along the cut through leading from St Gregory’s Road to Rickyard Road, in The Arbours, at about 9pm on Wednesday, May 27, when he was approached by three men who demanded his mobile phone.

Police said the victim refused to hand the phone over and was assaulted by the offenders who made off with a small about of cash.

All three offenders were men of dual heritage, the first was in his late 20s, of slim build, about 5 ft 8 ins, with straight black hair, stubble and a spotty complexion.

The second offender was about 17-years-old, 5ft 8 ins and of slim build with short, wavy black hair.

The third offender was about 19, of large build, 6ft and with shoulder length, straight brown hair.

Police would like to speak to anyone who may have witnessed this incident or have any information about it.
