Man admits stealing electricals and garden furniture from B&M store in Northampton

A 61-year-old man from Northampton has pleaded guilty to stealing £431.45 of electrical items and garden furniture from the B&M Store in Nene Valley Retail Park.

John Johnston, of Thorn Hill, Briar Hill, Northampton, appeared at Northampton Magistrates’ Court on Tuesday and admitted pushing a trolley out of the bargain store without paying for the goods on February 22.

Magistrates gave Johnston a 12-month conditional discharge and he was told he must pay court costs of £85 and a victim surcharge of £15.
