Three youth workers from Wootton have collected bras and toiletries to take to women at a village in Kenya.
Jenny Fisk and mother and daughter duo, Jenny and Charlotte Evans, are all youth workers with Youth Inspired in Wootton.
The group has been collecting toiletries to take to women in Utange, Mombasa, later this year.
Jenny Evans, who volunteered in the village last year, said: “The women in Utange love everything Western, and they were so thrilled with second-hand bras the last time I went. The toiletries are so important as they are so expensive in Kenya the women don’t have access to them.”
While in Utange, Jenny Fisk and Jenny Evans will help student volunteers working in the village with the Sure Foundation charity, introducing them to the area and supporting them during their stay.
The students they help will support the Feed 500 programme, which provides meals and bags of flour to orphans who have been taken in by neighbours and relatives.
