Chilli Village, in Wellingborough Road, is promising diners a choice of six individual restaurants, live entertainment and a shisha lounge, all within the same roof, when it opens its doors next month.

The restaurant was initially earmarked for a November 2015 open date in the premises once occupied by the Fusion buffet house, but the project appeared to have been delayed in recent months.

However, in recent weeks passers-by noticed a pair of rustic wagons appearing outside the front of the building, and more recently a post on the Chilli Village Facebook page, has called for staff to apply for jobs.

Workers have been on site at the large Wellingborough Road building since November 2014, installing oak beams, wooden flooring and hundreds of individually sourced antique ornaments.

A spokesperson for the new restaurant owners, told the Chron in July 2015: “All of the restaurants are going to be quite different.

People will have the opportunity to visit each one and feel like they are in a different place each time.

“We don’t want it just to be a place where you go for a meal, it is a place to relax and enjoy and be entertained.

“People don’t often know where to go on a night out,” the spokesperson added. “But people will be spoiled for choice here.”
