Woman bitten by Staffordshire bull terrier in park attack

A woman was bitten by a Staffordshire bull terrier as she walked through a Northampton park.

The 44-year-old woman was bitten in Becket's Park, Northampton on Thursday, March 11.

A spokesman for Northamptonshire Police said: "The woman and her friend were walking through the park when they walked past the dog and its owner.

"The dog was on a lead and as the woman walked past it bit her on the wrist.

"The dog was two tone in colour and was being walked by a blonde woman, who was aged in her early 30s, of slim build and well dressed."
