A 47-year-old woman has been seriously injured in a car crash in Stoke Bruerne this afternoon.
Police said the woman was the driver of a blue Toyota Celica which was travelling along Rookery Lane from the A509 towards the village at about 12.30pm.
For unknown reasons the car went across the verge into a wall.
The woman sustained life-threatening head and internal injuries and was airlifted to John Radcliffe Hospital in Oxford.
