VIDEO: Headteacher angry after theft of wheels from school minibus

A headteacher of a primary school in Northampton has branded thieves who have stolen two wheels from a school minibus as “mindless”.

Julia Kedwards, who is in charge at Ecton Brook Primary School, came into school this morning to find two piles of bricks under the minibus.

Mrs Kedwards, writing on Twitter this morning, said: “On Children in Need day, our kids come into school to find our minibus on bricks with no wheels. That’s stuffed today’s outings. #mindless”

But since that tweet, Leigh Wolmarans, headteacher at Lings Primary School, has offered the use of his school’s minibus which has meant the school trip to Abington Park has been saved.

It is believed the thieves stole the wheels from the minibus and then passed them over the school gates sometime after 8pm last night and 7am this morning.
