Passengers on rail services in and out of Northampton are facing long delays after a person was hit by a train on the line this afternoon.
London Midland bosses this evening said all services on the line are suffering from disruption following a fatality in the Harrow area.
The firm said the line was now clear but warned trains and crews had been displaced by the disruption.
British Transport Police were called to Harrow and Wealdstone station at 12.55pm and are currently not treating the death as suspicious.
London Ambulance Service also attended but the person was pronounced dead at the scene.
A British Transport Police (BTP) spokesman said: “Enquiries are ongoing to establish the identity of the person and inform their family. A file will be prepared for the Coroner.”
Tickets are being accepted on other rail services.
