This is flood problem near Northampton now... what will happen if there's 1,000 more homes?
The pictures were taken at Collingtree Golf Course, where 1,000 homes could be built by Bovis Homes if approved by an independent planning inspector.
Although the land shown will not itself be built on - the estate will be constructed a little further up a nearby hill - Collingtree villagers fear yesterday’s flooding all around the area could be multiplied in future as a result of the Bovis plan.

Hide AdRod Sellers, of the Hunsbury and Collingtree Resident’s Alliance, said: “If this is what the flooding is like now, it can only be more severe if the estate is built, with even more run-off.
“People may wonder why we should worry about a golf course been flooded.
“But the water doesn’t just collect there, it all ends up in Wootton Brook - which is the lowest point - and spills over into residential streets.
“The new estate is basically removing floodplain.”
Bovis has been approached for a comment.
It has previously said it will build a ditch along the southern boundary of Collingtree Park, which, it says, will both guard against new flooding and reduce the current level of flooding.
