A post-mortem has revealed that teenager Jack Burgess, who died in an incident at the Grafton Hunt Kennels in Northamptonshire, died of a single gunshot wound to the head.

A spokesman for Northamptonshire Police has confirmed an inquest is due to open following the 16-year-old's death, which took place at the kennels in Paulerspury last week.

He said: "A post mortem was held early today at Leicester Royal Infirmary into the death of Jack Burgess, who died at premises on High Street, Paulerspury on Monday, October 27.

"The post mortem found that he died from a gunshot wound to the head. An inquest into the death will open shortly."
