A team of teens have come together to organise a community fête in Northampton this summer.
The group of six, aged 15-17, will be holding the Delapre Abbey Summer Fête 2014 on the grounds of Delapre Abbey, in Far Cotton in Northampton, as part of their 30 hour social action project, part of a National Citizenship Service (NCS) course.
Team member, Hannah Tully, said: ”NCS is a three week summer course for young people and gives us a chance to make a difference in our local community and display what the young people of today can do. We are taking this opportunity to also raise money for local businesses and charities. Our goal is to bring the community together.”
Delapré Abbey Summer Fête 2014 will take place on 25th August (Bank Holiday Monday) from 2pm-4:30pm.
