Student Katie-Ann bares all to help cancer fight

The daughter of Northamptonshire cricket legend Allan Lamb is baring all for a charity calendar to raise money to fight breast cancer.

Katie-Ann Lamb, 21, and fellow students at Newcastle University aim to raise cash after friends and relatives were struck by the disease.

Katie-Ann says she decided to act after Jane McGrath, wife of Australian cricketer Glenn, died earlier this year aged 42 after battling bone cancer.

Another pal has also been diagnosed with the disease.

The marketing and management student, who had been the McGraths' nanny during a gap year in Australia in 2007, said: "It must be horrific to lose a mother at such a young age."

When her best friend Kathryn Fielding's grandmother was diagnosed with the disease the pair pressed ahead with the calendar.

Katie-Ann said: "We were all nervous about going completely nude. But it's brought us closer and we're so glad we've done it.

"We are determined to make a difference, however small it may be."
