Shock tactics for youngsters

Students at a Northampton school have been learning to stay on the right side of the law during day a criminal justice day.

The programme called Prison Me No Way began with a group of Year 10 pupils being led to a mock car crash with firefighters from the county service freeing the trapped passengers played by drama students at Weston Favell School.

Workshops and scenes also involved police officers interviewing the "suspects" and a session on the law with magistrates.

Emma Tate, spokeswoman for the school, said: "The pupils were really listening and they learned a lot about shocking offences. It was a really good day and it'sa good service to use."
