Serious crash causes rush hour tailbacks on the A43
A collision between a car and a motorcycle on the A43 in Northamptonshire is leading to significant congestion on the road between Silverstone and Towcester.
The collision took place at around 3.05pm and involved a car and motorcycle on the westbound carriageway, just past Silverstone.
A police spokesman said: "As a result traffic is building up heavily on the carriageway between Silverstone and Towcester and motorists are being advised to avoid the area while the emergency services attend the scene.
"It is not known at this stage how long that is likely to take, however at the moment no one is believed to have suffered from life threatening injuries."
