The Saints have asked supporters travelling to Friday night’s clash against Sale to avoid driving through the town centre to get to Franklin’s Gardens.
A spokesman for the rugby club said fans should set off early to avoid roadworks in the area.
He said: “There are extensive roadworks on Weedon Road in the vicinity of Northampton train station at the moment, with a variety of lane closures in operation.
“Supporters heading to tomorrow night’s Aviva Premiership clash against Sale are therefore advised to allow as much time as possible to get to Franklin’s Gardens and to avoid driving through Northampton town centre as much as possible.”
The club’s official car parks on Edgar Mobbs Way will be open from 5pm, with the stadium and village opening at 6pm.
