Remembering traffic dead

A remembrance service dedicated to people killed in road traffic collisions is being held at Abington Park on Sunday, November 18.

The ceremony is part of a worldwide memorial day organised by road accident victims' charity RoadPeace, and is being arranged by Sue Jackson, of Westleigh Close, Abington.

The humanist service will begin at the Abington Park Cafe at 2pm with the signing of a book of remembrance and all are welcome to attend.

Mrs Jackson said: "The idea is to remember the people killed on Northamptonshire's roads and to acknowledge the work of those professionals involved in the aftermath of these road crashes, people whose lives are committed to alleviate suffering.

"My hope is that this act will bring consolation and comfort for bereaved families and friends."
