Prison officer from Northamptonshire admits leaking information to The Sun

A prison officer from Moulton who has been charged under Operation Elveden, Scotland Yard’s investigation into alleged corrupt payments to police and information leaks, has pleaded guilty at the Old Bailey today.

Richard Trunkfield, aged 31, admitted leaking information about a high profile prisoner to The Sun.

He pleaded guilty to misconduct in a public office between March 2 and April 30, 2010.
