'Pride and Prejudice house' to rent in Northamptonshire
A 17th century house, used as part of the set for the Keira Knightly film Pride and Prejudice, is up for rent in a Northamptonshire village.
The Almshouse in the Boughton Estate, in Weekley, near Kettering, is being offered at a rate of 2,350 per month.
The four-bedroom house, used as the home of Mr Collins in the hit costume drama, is worth more than 1million and estate agents King West have said it offers a millionaire lifestyle at a discount rate.
Andrew Kilburn, director of King West, said: "This is a bit of a one-off. I know as a rental it is too expensive for some people but it isn't just about the money, this is about the lifestyle.
"It's such an exclusive location, you have got access to all of the estate grounds.
"People who are likely to rent it are unlikely to find somewhere like that because this type of property is very hard to find."
The house was built during the Stuart period, in 1611, and features a dining room, drawing room, kitchen, conservatory, four double bedrooms and two bathrooms.
There is also an adjoining workshop and it is all set in mature landscaped gardens.
To arrange a viewing of the house, call Charlie Paton at King West on 01780 484525.
