Four huge industrial containers containing cleaning fluids were destroyed after they went up in flames at a business yard in Daventry this morning.

Crews from Daventry and Rugby fire stations were called to the blaze at PurePac, based in Baird Close, shortly before 6.15am.

A force spokesman has revealed four thousand litre containers containing “dregs of cleaning fluid” were destroyed in the fire.

The cause is believed to have been accidental.

Firefighters used two hose reels and a thermal imaging camera.
