A car passenger was airlifted to hospital yesterday after the vehicle he was travelling in flipped over.
The Derbyshire, Leicestershire & Rutland Air Ambulance (DLRAA ) was called to the incident in Brixworth at about midday.
The car in which the 43-year-old man was travelling had rolled over and come to rest on its wheels.
A spokesman for the DLRAA said: “The patient was complaining of pain to his left hip and left hand. The crew successfully gained IV access and applied a pelvic splint.
“The patient was then flown to University Hospitals Coventry & Warwickshire. The patient remained stable throughout the flight.”
