Latest figures have revealed there are now just 40 people in Northampton watching black and white televisions.

Figures released by TV Licensing show the number of people across the country using black and white televisions has dropped by 12 per cent in the past year, with fewer than 12,000 sets now in use nation-wide.

The 40 black and white sets in Northampton is the fourth highest number in the East Midlands, behind Derby where there are 50, Leicester where there are 99 and Nottingham where there are 143.
