Office workers book up lunchtime Botox
Office workers are rushing to book lunch-hour appointments for quickie surgery, including Botox and other skin treatments, at a clinic in Northampton.
Slots for the procedures have been booked often months in advance since the Harley Medical Group's Billing Road centre opened its doors earlier this month.
Clinic manager Melanie Recchia said the treatments, which can be completed in less than an hour, were popular among working people in the town who wanted to fit surgery into their business day.
She said the interest was almost immediate and that lunchtime slots for treatments were the most popular among clients, adding: "As soon as we opened for business, we saw a huge amount of bookings made for Botox at lunchtimes.
"Businessmen and women book up weeks or even months in advance to ensure they can have a lunchtime slot for their Botox or dermal fillers."
She added: "With the Northampton area having such a high concentration of businesses, professionals seem to be opting for a helping hand to fight the ageing process after spending their days staring at a computer screen which, along with the pressure of a high profile job, can add to the ageing process."
